Sourcing Leader - Chemicals

SLB is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sourcing Lead - Chemicals  to join our team in Houston, Texas . In this role, you will lead strategic sourcing initiatives that strengthen supply continuity, drive value creation, and support critical business objectives across a complex global supply network. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to influence sourcing decisions, optimize supplier performance, and deliver sustainable procurement outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to shape sourcing strategies, lead high-impact commercial negotiations, and contribute directly to operational excellence and long-term business performance.   Roles and Responsibilities Lead strategic sourcing initiatives that support business objectives, supply continuity, and cost competitiveness. Manage sourcing projects from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with stakeholder priorities and category strategies. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to maximize value, innovation, and performance. Drive competitive sourcing events and commercial negotiations to achieve optimal business outcomes. Collaborate with global, regional, and functional teams to align sourcing activities and execute strategic initiatives. Monitor project execution, supplier performance, and sourcing effectiveness to ensure delivery of expected results. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and optimize total cost of ownership across the supply base. Ensure sourcing activities are conducted in alignment with company policies, governance requirements, and compliance standards.   Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum of five years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within a global business environment. Demonstrated expertise in commercial negotiations, contract management, cost analysis, and sourcing project leadership. Strong ability to influence and align stakeholders across multiple functions, regions, and organizational levels. Experience sourcing chemicals or managing chemicals-related categories is highly preferred. Chemical Engineering background is considered a strong asset. Excellent communication, analytical, and relationship management skills. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.   .
