Co-op or Intern, FR&I (Winter 2027)

Your Opportunity Our   Halifax office   is looking for a   Co-op student or Intern   to join the   Financial Reporting & Insights team   from   January to April 2027 . The   successful   candidate   will   own   the   following   responsibilities :   Efficiently prepare financial statements for Notice to Reader and Review engagement   Prepare working files for income tax and information returns for a variety of client sizes   Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to request and suggestions   Completion of ongoing accounting analysis and assignments following established procedures   Effectively communicate with team members   regarding   progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis   Assisting   other departments when needed with various   Accounting   functions   How do we define success for your role?    You demonstrate BDO's core values through all aspect of your work: Integrity, Respect & Collaboration   You understand your client’s industry, challenges, and opportunities; client describe you as positive, professional, and delivering   high quality   work   You   identify , recommend, & are focused on effective service delivery to your clients   You share in an inclusive & engaging work environment that develops,   retains   & attracts talent   You actively   participate   in the adoption of digital tools and strategies to drive an innovative workplace   You grow your   expertise   through learning   & professional   development.   Your   experience   and education   You are currently working towards a degree/diploma, focused in accounting   You are interested in long term growth within the Financial Reporting & Insights team    You may have experience or certifications with   Quickbooks , Xero and/or Sage    You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work   You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills   Why BDO?
