Supply Analyst - Aviation Fuel (Europe) Location: Canary Wharf, London The Supply Analyst, Aviation Fuel (Europe) is responsible for bulk fuel supply operations, logistics, scheduling, and fuel-related services across the European region. The role focuses on ensuring a reliable and cost-effective fuel supply to WFS customers while optimizing supply chain efficiency and managing daily physical position hedging activities.Although assigned to a specific region, the EMEA Supply team operates collaboratively, and cross-regional support is an integral part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Scheduling Actively manage and schedule fuel inventories to maintain optimal stock balances. Ensure accurate and efficient scheduling of fuel deliveries into inventory locations. Liaise with Into-Plane (ITP) agents, suppliers, and service providers to support inventory requirements. Pipeline Scheduling & Truck Dispatch Schedule and monitor pipeline and truck deliveries into inventory locations. Assess and develop the most effective supply mix based on current and potential supply options. Transaction Processing & Administration Ensure timely and accurate entry, verification, and processing of bulk transactions. Manage associated payments and receivables. Supply & Market Analysis Analyse supply and demand trends across assigned inventory locations. Identify opportunities to enhance supply chain value and optimise supply arrangements. Develop an understanding of fuel supply, logistics options, and associated pricing structures, including, p ipeline transportation, r oad haulage (truck deliveries) and s torage solutions Haulage & Logistics Coordination Create weekly CXL (internal accounts system) haulage nominations for both Self-Supply and General Aviation (GA) locations. Coordinate daily with haulage providers and operational sites regarding missed deliveries or delivery issues. Work closely with site operators to resolve operational challenges. Performance & Continuous Improvement Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners. Drive continuous improvements in supply chain performance and efficiency. Develop and analyse quarterly KPIs for haulage contracts to ensure compliance with contractual requirements. Support operational efficiency initiatives to maximise profitability within the allocated region. Share best practices and improvement opportunities across the wider EMEA Supply team.
Skills & Experience
Essential Skills Fluent English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong interest in supply operations and the commodities industry. Excellent analytical and numerical abilities. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Desirable Skills Experience in supply chain management within an oil, fuel, or commodities environment. Degree qualification or equivalent relevant industry experience and/or professional qualifications. Additional European language skills.
