This is a hands-on, commercially focused role on our legal team. You’ll partner day-to-day and support our Legal Counsels to draft, negotiate, and close a high volume of contracts and to support our deal desk. It's an ideal opportunity for an early-career attorney who wants to build deep commercial contracting expertise at a rapidly scaling SaaS company and grow alongside our legal function. In this role, you will be responsible for tracking and triaging a large number of contracts and requests at any given time. We are seeking a candidate who is equally comfortable prioritizing velocity or meticulous attention to detail, as circumstances merit, and who possesses a strong instinct for how to effectively balance these competing priorities. Because this role centers on contracts and deal support, we're looking for someone with strong drafting instincts, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to get up to speed quickly on new agreement types and business needs. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including SaaS customer agreements, order forms, partner and reseller agreements, vendor and procurement contracts, NDAs, and data processing agreements Helping to establish contracting and organizational processes that will allow us to move with greater efficiency as we continue to scale Serving as a point of contact for our Sales and Partnerships teams, gathering context so agreements can be drafted accurately and efficiently Supporting deal desk operations, including managing contract intake, review, and approval workflows and helping deals move efficiently to signature Helping to improve contract templates, playbooks, fallback positions, and negotiation guidelines to help the team scale Speaking with customers and counterparties to resolve questions and keep negotiations moving Taking on other ad hoc projects as needed Move at rocket speed, build something massive. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree (or foreign equivalent), with a strong record of academic achievement Admitted to practice law in New York State with good standing, or willing and able to waive into New York ~1-3 years of legal experience (at a law firm and/or in-house) involving commercial and transactional work Skills Ability to effectively and clearly communicate with customers and other outside parties Strong legal drafting skills Strong legal researcher–demonstrated ability to reliably
