CMM Programmer

Job Description & Skill Requirement:   This position is for an experienced CMM Programmer with strong experience in Camio software operating Nikon/LK coordinate measuring machines to join a growing aerospace team with L&T Technology Services (LTTS). As an important part of the Manufacturing team here at LTTS, you will actively be providing critical value to our customers by helping to ensure the production of high-quality aerospace components for aerospace applications by supporting the dimensional inspection of complex aerospace engine hardware, including rotating components, structural elements, and precision-machined superalloy parts. We are looking for a highly skilled CMM Programmer with aerospace industry experience to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will develop robust CMM programs, validate measurements, support First Article Inspection (FAI), and ensure compliance with stringent aerospace and OEM requirements. You will collaborate closely with production, quality, and materials engineering teams to ensure product performance, process reliability, and compliance with industry standards.   The ideal candidate will have a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. A passion for quality standards and quality product output is essential, and job duties may include technical reviews, designing new tools or systems, interpreting data, or researching the science of metrology to better processes/accuracy.   This is an on-site position, meaning much of this role will require working out of our clients facility located in Columbus, Georgia.     Duties/Responsibilities • Develop, edit, and validate complex CMM programs using latest Camio software. • Perform dimensional inspection of aerospace engine hardware such as blades, vanes, disks, rings, cases, seals, and various precision features. • Interpret engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, GD&T, and aerospace OEM specifications. • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 requirements. • Generate detailed, accurate inspection reports and measurement results for internal teams and customer submission. • Work closely with quality engineering, manufacturing, and machining teams to resolve dimensional, tolerance stack-up, and process-related issues. • Validate CMM programs through dry runs, correlation checks, and measurement repeatability testing. • Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and performance of Zeiss CMM equipment. • Maintain revision control of programs, fixtures, and inspection documentation. • Support corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives related to metrology and inspection processes. • Apply best practices for measurement of tight-tolerance, thin-wall, intricate geometries, and high-temperature aerospace materials (Inconel, Waspaloy, Titanium). • Develop and deploy standardized CMM program templates and macros to improve efficiency, consistency, and reduce development time. • Conduct and analyze correlation studies between different CMMs and measurement methods. • Implement high-level conditional programming within Calypso to create flexible, intelligent inspection plans that adapt to part variations. • Utilize VB scripting to automate repetitive tasks, customize measurement routines, and generate specialized reports. • Perform data parsing from CMM outputs for statistical analysis, trend monitoring, and integration with other quality systems.   Required Skills/Abilities: • 2–5+ years of experience in CMM programming or metrology in a precision manufacturing or aerospace environment. • Proficiency in Camio software and hands-on operation of LK equipment. • Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and 3D model interpretation. • Experience inspecting aerospace hardware or similarly complex, tight-tolerance components. • Knowledge of AS9100,
