Resume parsing and analysis

Understand how Yoinka reads and evaluates your resume.

How parsing works

Yoinka uses AI-powered parsing to extract structured information from your resume. It identifies sections like work experience, education, skills, certifications, and projects. The parsed data is used to build your resume profile.

Review parsed data

After parsing, review the extracted data on the resume detail page. Each section (experience, education, skills, etc.) is displayed in an editable format. If the parser missed or misinterpreted something, you can manually correct it.

Resume score

Yoinka gives your resume an overall quality score based on factors like completeness, formatting consistency, use of action verbs, quantified achievements, and keyword density. The score helps you identify areas for improvement before applying.

Improvement suggestions

Below your score, you'll find specific suggestions. These might include adding metrics to bullet points, removing outdated skills, improving your summary section, or restructuring your experience. Each suggestion explains the reasoning and expected impact.
