Why tailor your resume
Many companies use Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) that scan resumes for relevant keywords. Tailoring your resume to match a job description significantly increases the chance of passing automated screening and reaching a human reviewer.
Using the tailor feature
From any job in your matches or tracker, click Tailor Resume. Yoinka compares the job description against your resume and highlights keyword gaps, missing skills, and areas where your experience could be better aligned.
Applying suggestions
The tailor tool suggests specific changes: reordering experience sections, adding relevant keywords, emphasizing certain skills, or rephrasing bullet points. You can accept suggestions individually or apply them all at once. Each change is previewed before being applied.
Saving tailored versions
When you're happy with the changes, save it as a new resume version. This creates a copy linked to the specific job posting, so you always know which version you sent where. Your original resume remains unchanged.
