Setting keywords and filters

Fine-tune your monitors with keywords and filters to get only the jobs you care about.

Adding keywords

Keywords are the core of your monitor. Add terms that describe the roles you want -- for example, "frontend engineer", "React", or "senior". A job matches if any of your keywords appear in the job title or description.

Negative keywords

Use negative keywords to exclude jobs you don't want. For example, add "intern" or "junior" as negative keywords if you're only looking for senior roles. Negative keywords override positive matches.

Location filters

Narrow results by location. You can specify cities, states, countries, or select Remote to only see remote-friendly positions. Combine multiple locations if you're open to several areas.

Department and seniority filters

Some ATS platforms provide structured department and seniority data. When available, you can filter by department (Engineering, Design, Product, etc.) and level (Entry, Mid, Senior, Lead, Manager). These filters are applied in addition to your keywords.
